2022: Year In Review

It’s hard to believe that 2022 is rapidly coming to an end. As we start to return to more normal life from the pandemic, Direct Line Global has been able to advance our business with our trusted clients and partners. 2022 has been a year of growth, and as we approach the holidays and New Year, we are excited about the momentum and prospects for our business in 2023.

The year-end is the perfect time to reflect on our accomplishments and areas of focus as we plan for 2023.

First and foremost, we would like to thank all our clients and partners for placing trust in Direct Line Global. We thank you on behalf of the entire Direct Line Global team. We take pride in every successful project delivered with high professionalism and dedication by our workforce. We understand that to meet our client’s expectations, we must invest in those who make us who we are, our people. The Direct Line Global Team is what makes each project a success and provides our clients and partners with the best results.

Now, it’s time to share some interesting facts and stats about 2022 at Direct Line Global.

Are you ready? Let’s jump in!

  • Client Base and Business Growth

We believe in delivering quality and innovation to meet the industry’s highest standards for Hyperscale, Multi-Tenant Data Centers (MTDCs), and key Direct (Technology) Clients. 2022 has been one of our most promising years, and we look forward to this continuing in 2023.

  • DL Way – We Say, Unparalleled

We focused on highlighting key elements of our strategy – Safety, People, and Core Capabilities. These pillars provide us with the structure we need to keep moving forward. These strategies allowed us to execute highly sophisticated projects for leading technology companies.

As part of the Construction Safety week, the Direct Line Global team in Santa Clara, CA, Los Lunas, NM, and Boydton, VA held safety standdown meetings as a proactive measure to mitigate hazards on the site. The team also reinforced incident reporting, personal accountability, and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • We are Expanding our Team — No Slowing Down

We believe in Right Resource at the Right Place and Right Time. As we close 2022, we have added over 30% of new staff to our talented team members worldwide. The HR team has been busy recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and welcoming new roles to our organization.

  • Commitment to training begins on day one

The Direct Line University (DLU) team develops and provides learning opportunities for everyone. The team also offers installation training, including BICSI-certified training and programs specific to customers and projects. DLU operates BICSI Authorized Training Facilities in Ashburn, VA, and Albuquerque, NM.

DLU also launched a Learning Management System (LMS) in November. The LMS platform will provide online and mobile access to learning opportunities and assign and remind employees about required training.

We also launched our Leadership Development program to enhance our managers’ skill sets, providing extra tools they’ll need to provide an environment where professionals flourish. As part of the training, managers from around Direct Line Global’s team met in Atlanta for a program hosted by Dale Carnegie. “This training will help us motivate, coach, and develop our teams more effectively. It’s critical to prepare our current leaders to be more effective in their current roles and prepare them for larger future positions,” says Dave Desch, our SVP of Resource Solutions.

What to Expect in 2023

As a result of the continued growth and development over the last few years, we are expanding our market reach. We keep growing, and our key partners, valuable clients, and hard-working team are the factors that boost our expansion.

“We are expanding our operations in new locations to support our customers’ increasing requirements,” explained Andy Lovit, Chief Commercial Officer for Direct Line Global. We have opened new offices in cities critical to the Data Center industry- Richardson, TX, Hillsboro, OR, and Boydton, VA, and will be moving to a much larger facility in Ashburn, VA during Q1 2023. These new locations will allow us to meet the growing needs of our clients even more efficiently while still providing them with the highest level of service. Our global growth continues through the Asia Pacific Region (APAC), with our Philippines, Hong Kong, and Singapore hubs opening new operations in South Korea this year.

Exciting things are coming as we make our way for the New Year, and we will continue to be a key partner through all those further developments. Direct Line Global will continue to innovate with new capabilities, enhance the services that matter most to our clients, build integrations to use skills more efficiently, and grow the team. We’re hiring across the company, so check out our careers page.
