What is your current role?
Program Manager, Data Center Solutions at CBRE | Direct Line.
How long have you been with CBRE | Direct Line?
Six years.
What kind of education and training did your career require?
Most of my education has come through hands-on experience, supported by classroom instruction and certifications. From installing fiber cabling under raised floors to managing small teams to leading full-scale data center builds, I’ve tried to learn something new with every role. My mindset has always been simple: strive to be the best at whatever task is in front of me, and don’t be afraid to make new mistakes along the way.
What do you think is needed to be successful in your role?
Adaptability and communication are key. Every project is different, and success depends on how well you can coordinate between internal teams, external contractors, and clients, especially under tight timelines. It’s also critical to have a deep understanding of both the technical and logistical sides of the build.

What does a typical day look like for you at CBRE | Direct Line?
No two days are the same, which is what I enjoy most. My day typically includes project planning meetings, client updates, vendor coordination, and walking active construction sites to ensure buildouts are progressing on schedule. I’m focused on problem-solving and removing roadblocks to keep projects moving forward and to keep our technicians’ eyes on the prize. One of my main goals for each project is: “How do I make the next one better for my technicians and, ultimately, the customer?”
What would you like to say to someone interested in applying to work at CBRE | Direct Line?
There’s a real opportunity for growth here if you’re willing to put in the work. I started as a technician and now lead multi-million dollar builds. The company and management support internal mobility, and they reward people who are willing to take on the responsibility and accountability required of new opportunities.
Tell us about your career path at CBRE | Direct Line.
I started as a data center technician, moved into a foreman role, and then a project manager role. I have recently been promoted to program manager. Each role has helped me build a stronger foundation in field operations, leadership, and strategic planning.
What inspired you to pursue a career in technology?
When I started as an installer 18 years ago, I was fascinated by how machines were connected through fiber—and why that connection mattered. I kept digging deeper, learning not just how to install the infrastructure, but how devices work and how entire systems come together. Now I’m involved in building the data centers themselves, and it’s incredibly rewarding to know that what we build powers the internet for millions of people. That kind of impact is exciting.
What do you love most about what you do?
I love seeing projects go from an empty space to a fully operational data center. Knowing that what we build supports the systems the world relies on is incredibly fulfilling. I also really enjoy solving problems under pressure and watching a team come together to deliver. My goal with every project is to hear the customers say they are happy with the work and glad they chose us to build their data center.
What are your interests outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids. I also enjoy playing golf, coaching my son’s sports teams (football, basketball, soccer), and taking family trips as often as possible.
Tell us a surprising or fun fact about you.
My father was a bull rider when I was a kid, and I spent a lot of time behind the chute when he was riding in a rodeo.
