It’s been a huge year for Direct Line (DL) and our ecosystem of infrastructure innovators as we work together to deliver the technologies and solutions that will ultimately shape the future.
Earlier this year, Nvidia announced a new class of large-memory AI supercomputer — an NVIDIA DGX™ supercomputer powered by NVIDIA® GH200 Grace Hopper Superchips and the NVIDIA NVLink® Switch System — created to enable the development of giant, next-generation models for generative AI language applications, recommender systems and data analytics workloads. NVIDIA GPUs power some of the fastest supercomputers in the world. These systems will continue to play an essential role in future exascale deployments where supercomputers will run at 5x – 10x the speed of today’s best but achieving this level of performance goes beyond the hardware.
Direct Line provides services that solve industry challenges, envision what is possible, and transform business through innovations. In 2017 Direct Line partnered with Vantage to build the telecom infrastructure for their direct client Nvidia. This data center project was designed to build an artificial intelligence (AI) system to scale the customer’s infrastructure and support machine learning and AI initiatives. Since then, DL has been quietly contributing to the success of this tech giant.
- Since 2018, we have delivered 34 projects as a direct provider or a subcontractor.
- DL played a key role in the success and speed of Selene.
- DL is a dedicated delivery partner for Mellanox Professional Services.
From its founding in 1993, Nvidia, a multinational technology company, has revolutionized the world of computer graphics, having introduced the first-ever GPU in 1999, sparking the growth of the PC gaming market, redefining modern computer graphics, and revolutionizing parallel computing. The company’s accelerated computing started with DGX, the world’s AI supercomputer, the engine behind the large language model breakthrough. DGX has become an essential instrument in AI. A new class of large-memory AI Supercomputer that connects 256 Grace Hopper Superchips into a Massive, 1-Exaflop, 144TB GPU for Giant Models Powering Generative AI, Recommended Systems & Data Processing.
Direct Line has been at the forefront of the technology revolution and continues to empower the cloud. Our operations team is mobilizing various projects with our partners – Mellanox, Wesco, and Leviton. The EOS installation alone is over 200 miles of cabling and 37,000+ transceivers, all in less than eight weeks.
2022 has been a transition year for Direct Line from supplier to partner status. In 2023 DL is in good standing and continue driving new initiatives and over-delivering our core offerings. Both Direct Line and NVIDIA know ecosystems and are great at building the infrastructure needed for the success of our partners and end-users.
